Northerly Evington is an region of the city of Leicester, England. These are in the east of the city, south of the Uppingham Road, between Spinney Hills to the west and Crown Hills to the east. To the northward of these are New Humberstone, and in the south is Evington Valley.
A development was originally in the parish of Evington, disconnected from a village itself. A areas around between develop been infilled later.
A locality was designed & constructed as a suburban area, by Arthur Wakerley from the 1880s onwards. Per First World War the area was totally developed. A metropolitan area, which was originally outside a borough boundary, was annexed to the borough of Leicester inside 1892.
